Commissioned by the Michaëlle Jean Foundation, Black & Beyond seamlessly weaves animation, sound design, interpretive dance, step, live painting, song, and spoken word to galvanize and empower Canada’s Black community in an exultant overture to the 2025 National Black Canadians Summit.

Opening at the Palais des Congrès to an electrifying reception, this innovative performance channels the transcendental power of Black art and energy, enrapturing its audience in a stunning debut.

Featuring the Montréal Steppers, Mukoma Nshinga, Maliciouz, Elena Stoodley, and Misé, this all-Black Canadian cast unites with dynamic force to embody and transmit the frequency of our highest calling.
